UMY was established in March 1981 as part of Muhammadiyah, a religious social organization. As a modern Islamic University, UMY’s vision is to create leading and enlightening graduates. In line with its vision, UMY does not only direct its students to master the latest science and technology but it also guides the students to develop culturally and religiously in line with Islamic values. As a fast-growing higher education institution, UMY offers the best experience in education.
