There are a number of postgraduate courses available at McCombs School of Business, namely, the 10-month Master of Science Programs offers degree programs in Finance, IT & Management, Marketing, and Business Analytics. Programs are full-time on the UT Austin Campus, with courses beginning July of each year.

The Texas McCombs Master of Science Program offers rolling admission each year with four deadline options. Applicants can apply to more than one Master of Science Program for a single application fee, and they can indicate their interest in multiple programs within any of the Master of Science Program applications.

The tuition fees for graduate programs at McCombs range from US$43,000 (domestic) to US$48,000 (international) for Master of Science students; US$49,534 to US$54,924 for MBA students; and US$33,250 per semester for Executive MBA participants.

Entry requirements
Qualified applicants hoping to earn a spot on an MS program should meet the following criteria:


1.    An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
2.    Mathematical aptitude and demonstrated ability to handle quantitative material
3.    Strong communication skills
4.    A completed application consisting of the following:

Once you arrive at McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, it’s easy to appreciate the beautiful location that is Austin, Texas.
There are dozens of museums, libraries, centers, institutes and special venues spread across the campus and the city, each with their own unique exhibits and formats. It’s safe to say you won’t be bored during your time at the school.

McCombs Business School offers a wide array of graduate programs at its campus in Austin Texas. Although there are multiple campuses affiliated with the business school, the Master of Science Programs are only offered at The University of Texas at Austin campus in Austin, Texas.

The business school has dedicated program staff affiliated with the programs to ensure students receive the best help to achieve academic success. It’s worth noting that programs average a 90 percent or above career placement rate within three months of students graduating.


The percentage of international students varies from program to program. On average, programs are made up of 50 percent international students in business analytics and IT & management, or 20 percent international students on marketing and finance.
There are a number of extracurricular activities students can get involved with both on and off campus. For example, students could attend Advisory Council meetings, professional development seminars, and they also have the opportunity to showcase their skillsets in competitions including data hackathons.
When it comes to living arrangements, students usually reside off campus. Just imagine the community you could create for yourself and your friends in the great city of Austin.


The McCombs School of Business educates more than 6,000 undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students every year.
Typically, students applying to the school average GPAs of 3.5, while also obtaining average quantitative test scores in the 75th percentile or higher.

Although some of the Masters in Science programs at McCombs have similar entry requirements as an MBA (GRE or GMAT, letters of recommendation, personal essays) other entry programs only require demonstrations of academic success from your undergraduate studies.

Students typically demonstrate quantitative aptitude through test scores or university coursework, however, applicants hoping to get on the BA or ITM programs are required to demonstrate university coursework in computer programming.

All students are considered for merit and need based scholarships – no additional application is needed to apply.

final domestic and permanent resident deadline is May 4, 2020.





The realms of opportunity are endless at McCombs. Within three months of graduation, all MS programs (Marketing, Finance, IT & Management, and Business Analytics) average a 90-95 percent placement rate.

They have opportunities for one on ones with a career coach, resume review, mock interviews, and opportunities to meet with hiring employers on campus.
