The Bachelor Degree Studies take the 1st to 3rd years of studies. During the 1st and 2nd years the students mainly take compulsory subjects while in 3rd year they can generally opt as they wish. The Bachelor Degree course is concluded by the State Bachelor Degree Examination during which the student sits for separate examinations and defends the Bachelor Degree Thesis before a panel of examiners. After a successful state examination the student is conferred upon the degree of Bachelor at a graduation ceremony, and the degree can be used before the name abbreviated as Bc. The graduates can then continue their studies in the Master Degree studies or they take their jobs.
