Stirling is Scotland’s official University for Sporting Excellence. The campus played host to Team Scotland for Glasgow’s Commonwealth Games, serving as preparation camp for the country’s finest athletes. Here, they had access to some of the best training facilities in the UK. Students rated us first in Scotland for sport facilities (The Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey, 2015).
The University is home to the National Swimming Academy and the Gannochy National Tennis Centre where Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray, trained. Also on campus, students can find a state-of-the-art gym, strength and conditioning suite and dedicated cycling studio. The 330-acre estate is the perfect natural playground for ramblers and hillwalkers, and students can try canoeing and kayaking on Stirling’s very own loch.
