Universidad Externado de Colombia

One of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Colombia, Externado University offers PhDs, master’s and bachelor’s programs in Spanish in a wide range of subjects, including business administration, law, education, journalism, tourism, finance and economics.

Externado University is located in downtown Bogotá, the high-altitude city located nearly 2,600 meters above sea level and tucked in between Andean peaks. The city is particularly known for its colonial architecture, bars and restaurants.

La Candelaria, the historic district where Externado University is based, has beautiful cobbled streets in the Spanish style and is located right in the middle of the city within walking distance of all major governmental institutions.

Externado University's lush 65,000 square meter campus has several tropical green spaces with as many as 40,000 different species of plants, extensive sport facilities, a Bloomberg business suite and translation rooms. Other on-campus facilities include a health clinic, parking, two cafeterias, two cash points and a lost property office.
