The University of Chester is one of the longest-established higher education institutions in the UK, with over 180+ years of educational heritage to its name.

Over the years, Chester has built a diverse and supportive student community of around 14,000 students from 125 countries worldwide. It is a safe and inclusive environment for international students and was ranked the 1st place for international and postgraduate students in the WhatUni? Student Choice Awards 2024 and 2025.

The university offers more than 200 undergraduate and postgraduate courses which span a comprehensive range of subject areas, delivered across three specialist campuses.

At Chester, we ensure our students are world-ready by providing them with opportunities to get involved inside and outside the classroom. We do this by encouraging hands-on learning and emphasising the value of industry placements and study abroad experiences ranging from five weeks to a year.
The University of Chester offers generous international and merit-based scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate study, providing a significant reduction to the published headline tuition fees. International applicants will automatically be considered for these scholarships when their application is reviewed, and any award given will be shown on their offer letter.

Based in the North West of the UK, Chester is well connected to the rest of the UK, being less than an hour from Manchester and Liverpool, and a two-hour direct train journey to London.
