Societies are made up of groups of students interested in acommon theme – maybe you all love baking, share a geographical location or havesimilar religious views. Whether you want to share in the magic of Harry Potteror reckon the Archery society may just hit the mark, joining one of Surrey's130+ societies (or starting your own) will help you make friends and memoriesfor life.  The University also has over 47 sports clubs to join, includingweightlifting, lacrosse and volleyball.

Should you need it, the University offers assistance withany academic or personal problems you may face. Reviewers say positive thingsabout student support, from their friendly attitude to the excellent advicethey provide. Surrey's Centre for Wellbeing has an on-campus team of nurses andadvisors to offer support and advice on issues ranging from mental health toliving a healthy lifestyle. The Student Services Centre is also on hand to helpwith all general non-academic queries, as well as provide support for disabledstudents, international students and is home to a multi-faith chaplaincy. Anon-site GP surgery makes it easy for students to go to the doctors.
