Located in Sonoma County, California, Sonoma State University has been educating students for nearly 60 years. Today, over 8,500 students are enrolled here - of which over 8,000 are studying at an undergraduate level. One of the smallest state universities in California, Sonoma State offers 92 undergraduate degrees, 19 master’s degrees and 11 teaching credentials.
Covering 269 acres of Californian land, Sonoma State University also operates the Fairfield Osborn Preserve, a 411-acre nature reserve, and the 3,200-acre Galbreath Wildlands Preserve. Both of these locations offer students in the School of Science & Technology. fantastic research opportunities. In addition, students can also utilize the Sonoma State Observatory.
Sonoma State is also ideally situated in California’s wine-growing region and as a consequence of this offers an educational program in Wine Business. Students learn about the business challenges facing the wine industry, and can study courses in wine marketing, wine business strategies and wine production.
