Simmons University

Founded in 1889 to provide women with a Liberal Arts education to assist them professionally, Simmons University continues to focus on female students at undergraduate level today. However, the graduate school is co-ed, as is the university’s online MBA program which was founded in 2016. The university’s MBA program was the first in the world to be designed specifically for women.

Simmons University has two main campuses, one academic and one residential. The residential campus provides housing for first-year and second-year students and also is home to a sports center, lounge and late-night dining service among other facilities. 

The university is also notable for making several significant efforts to become more sustainable. A formal commitment has been made to eliminate campus greenhouse gas emissions over time and also manage its buildings and resources sustainably.
