All postgraduate courses at GITIS are taught in Russian, and applicants are enrolled according to their entrance examination results (Russian and specializations). 


• MA: Acting (drama, musical theater, pop), Directing (drama, musical theater, pop), Performing Arts Management and Production, Art of Choreography, History and Theory of Theatre and Criticism
• PhD: Russian Theater, Foreign Theater, Acting, Directing, Choreography, Stage Speech, Stage Movement, etc.

For admission onto GITIS’ postgraduate MA program, applicants are required to have a BA degree.
MA and PhD applicants must also provide a report for their intended thesis research.

Report requirements include: a draft work plan, tasks and objectives of the research, scientific novelty and relevance.

PhD applicants need either a Specialty degree or MA degree. The PhD program is available full-time (3 years). All courses are given in Russian.

The average tuition fee is US$11,000 per year.

Students could receive a quota for study at his country through Rossotrudnichestvo. All who studied at the bachelor's degree and continue their studies at the magistracy and graduate school receive a discount on payment.
