NUST MISIS has 9 English-medium MSc (S.T.E.M.) programs, two of which are internationally accredited to ASIIN: Multicomponent nanostructured coatings, Nanofilms and Quantum physics for advanced materials engineering. A list of Master’s programs available in Russian is here.

The University offers stipends to international students, who are getting admitted to the English-medium MSc (S.T.E.M.) Programs via the prestigious Russian Governmental Scholarship program (https://russia.study/en), and to those students who cover their tuition out of their own funds. More information on scholarships is available here.

There is also a special Master's program "Strategic Management of International Mineral Resources Companies". It has been developed by the interuniversity educational center to train experts in management, specializing in Russian raw material industries and implemented jointly by two universities: NUST MISIS and MGIMO. The industrial partners of the program are the Karaganda State Technical University and the Non-Commercial Partnership for Mining Industry Development Assistance. The program is aimed at educating specialists for mineral companies capable of carrying out professional activities in the field of strategic planning, analytics, marketing, foreign economic activity and export sales.

In 2019 NUST MISIS launched English-taught postgraduate programs in two areas: “Physics and Astronomy” and “Materials Technology”. Every international postgraduate student admitted to NUST MISIS will be given the opportunity to participate in a competition for a researcher-engineer position at one of the University`s leading laboratories. The competition’s winners will be able to conduct research, publish scientific articles issued in at least a second quartile journal, lead the research work of international master`s degree students, and prepare methodological materials.

NUST MISIS has also launched Integrated PhD (in Russian) — an educational program that combines the levels of graduate and postgraduate studies in one educational track. The goal of the program is to prepare young researchers focused on careers in science, as well as employees for the R&D departments of companies engaged in high-tech industries. The training will be held in three relevant scientific areas: “Biomaterials”, “Additive technologies for the manufacturing industry” and “Quantum materials science”. Among the partners of the iPhD program: the N. N. Blokhin National Medical Research Centre of Oncology, N.F. Gamaleya Scientific Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Oxford, University of Southampton, Technical University of Dortmund, etc.
