Application Requirements of undergraduate programmes

Candidates must fulfil one of the following criteria:

  • Form 6, Grade 12 graduates or equivalent, or
  • Currently attending Form 6, Grade 12 or equivalent, or
  • Aged 23 or above by 1 September 2024

Application Requirements of Mainland China Applicants:

Mainland China ID card holders

 

Application Requirement of Gaokao students:

Applicants must be high school graduates who have attended the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) of the current academic year and have attained a score reaching the university score line.

 

Application Requirement of Non-Gaokao students:

Applicants must be current high school graduates studying in Mainland China or outside China following the international curriculum. Applicants have to submit academic documents for review and will be arranged for admission interview if necessary.

 

Direct Admission Requirement of Non-Gaokao students:

Applicants fulfilling any of the following may apply for bachelor's degree programmes by Direct Admission.

  1. Holding an official offer letter for 2024/2025 bachelor's degree programme issued by a higher education institution recognized by UTM.
    Students applying for English medium programmes have to attend an admission interview in English.
    Applicants may be exempted from the said interview if they meet any of the following requirements:
    • having obtained the admission offer for a bachelor's degree programme with medium of instruction in English; or
    • having attained the required English score or grade in public examinations.
       
  2. Applicants who have attained any of the following qualifications or public examination results in BOTH English and Mathematics subjects have to submit academic documents for review. If necessary, applicants will be arranged for an admission interview.
