HTMi Hotel and Tourism Management Institute Switzerland
About
The HTMi Vision is: To be a leading Hotel Management Institute in the World.
To achieve this, we take a three-pronged, multi-faceted training and development approach.
This includes, high quality and high-profile industrial partners that helps to keep our programmes up to date with contemporary working requirements in the leading-edge hotels of the world.
Secondly, we employ a highly experienced teaching faculty who have a broad mix of both industrial and academic skills and who between them have worked in over 30 countries. These backgrounds ensure students have top quality experiences and feel ready to embrace industrial internships and the workplace once their studies have been completed. An HTMi graduate is also guaranteed opportunities to apply for management positions with our sister company hotel brand, Swisstouches Hotels and Resorts in China, Vietnam or Switzerland.
Finally, we place our students at the very centre of the learning experiences within everything we do. Students are encouraged from entry level courses to invest in research time and engage in meaningful inquiry to explore theoretical managerial concepts before getting the opportunity to put these into practice within our vast range of events that ensures everyone has the opportunity to plan, lead and organize a number of fellow students.
Therefore, programmes are designed by highly experienced academics and with regular inputs from the Hospitality and Tourism industry and which are reviewed regularly to keep them fresh, innovative and relevant.
We offer a number of courses ranging from short ‘Certified Hospitality Professional’ courses to longer Swiss Foundation, Diploma, Higher Diploma, and Postgraduate Diploma courses. Upon successful completion of each course, the student has the opportunity to go into industry for six-month internships before resuming the formal academic studies again. This mix of study>industrial internship>study captures the imagination of the student and also allows the student to ‘earn while they learn’.
We also have a number of internationally recognised degrees that we jointly offer with notable UK universities. These range from BSc, to Masters and PG Diplomas and include Hospitality, Tourism, Events and Culinary Arts. At the culmination of 2019 HTMi recorded over 2,000 students studying HTMi courses either in Switzerland or in any one of our associate institutions around the world.
HTMi International Development Group currently operates in over thirty countries and we have partnership institutions delivering HTMi courses that can be self-standing or enable the student to continue studies with one of our other partners or come to Switzerland for further studies.
