Our university’s tradition of seminar-based education is also carried out in the MM program. Students in this program take a seminar class, titled ‘Readings in Business Classics’ in the first year and participate in workshop classes in the second academic year, learning subjects of Strategy, Marketing, Accounting, and Finance, and to complete master’s thesis project. Master’s students have ample opportunities to interact with professionals from the real world. Hitotsubashi master’s graduates are highly regarded by private companies, consulting firms, private research institutions, international organizations, and they also start their own businesses.
SBA’s Master and PhD programs educated excellent researchers in Japanese academia. With carefully selected small number of postgraduate students, we aim to deliver rich and rewarding learning experience with a close and careful mentorship of the faculty. Weekly seminar class for postgraduate programs provide active discussion and learning for master’s research projects and doctoral dissertations. Hitotsubashi postgraduate programs provide financial support for attending academic conferences and submitting articles to academic journals, encouraging graduate students to participate in international research networking and further their own high-quality research.
