Founded in 1897, the private Bradley University has six undergraduate schools or colleges. These are the College of Education and Health Sciences, Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Foster College of Business, Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts, and the Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The university is also home to the Charley Steiner School of Sports Communication.
The university was one of the first in the United States to establish a school focused on entrepreneurship and its undergraduate entrepreneurship program has been recognized as one of the best in the nation.
Financial aid is widely available to all students attending Bradley University, with a large range of scholarships available for students. Loans and grants are also available. Around 85 percent of the student body (which numbers around 5,800 people) receive financial aid of some form.
