Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) offers over 30 undergraduate programs, all of which are taught in English. Bachelors graduates receive two degrees once they complete their program: the XJTLU degree from the Chinese Ministry of Education plus a degree from the University of Liverpool. XJTLU students have the option of completing their last two years of study in Liverpool.
XJTLU’s campus community includes over 13,000 on-campus students plus 500 faculty members representing over 50 countries. An additional 2,500 XJTLU students study at the University of Liverpool. All of XJTLU’s international students have the opportunity to study Chinese as part of their degree program.
Over 5,000 foreign-owned and Fortune 500 companies are based in Suzhou Industrial Park including Siemens, KPMG, Alstom, and HSBC. These companies provide XJTLU students with numerous internship opportunities and job positions. In addition, many XJTLU graduates go on to Masters and PhD study at the world’s top-ranked universities.

OUR CAMPUS
Our striking, architecturally impressive campus provides modern, state-of-the art teaching, laboratory, research, and conferencing facilities, many of which are available for external hire.
The campus is located in Suzhou Industrial Park, to the east of Suzhou’s historic centre, and is easily accessed by plane, train and bus. It is only 24 minutes due west of Shanghai on the fastest high-speed train, and within easy reach of a number of international airports, making it the perfect location for events.
Full of striking, architecturally impressive buildings, both our North Campus and South Campus provides state-of-the art teaching, laboratory, research and support facilities. This includes the award-winning and iconic Central Building, which houses our library.
Both campus have sports facilities, world class-fully equipped science and engineering laboratories, and design studios, as well as a variety of catering facilities, including Subway, Hungry Burger, Café Mersey and many canteen-style fast-food options.
Landscaped gardens complement pieces of modern art to create a campus environment that has become one of the striking features of Suzhou Industrial Park.
