Sussex is currently ranked a top 50 UK university and we use our research-led teaching, unique location and strong sense of purpose to broaden our students’ perspectives.

Our undergraduate courses are designed to broaden your horizons and give you the skills and experience you need to take you in any direction. We offer more than 300 courses in a wide range of subjects across 11 schools and we also have a partnership with the Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

Our schools of study currently include:

You can also customise your course to build a degree that allows you to follow your interests and broaden your education; and depending on the course, you can choose electives from several different disciplines, spend time studying abroad or undertake a professional placement.

With 90% of our graduates being employed or in further study within six months (Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education 2016), we’re one of the UK’s most successful universities for employment.

Our Careers and Employability Centre supports you throughout your studies, offering services to enhance your professional development. These include work experience and internships, careers fairs and training courses, plus one-to-one support from friendly experts.

Home from home

We offer a large selection of flats and houses to suit different tastes and budgets. Most first-year students live on campus in our accommodation but we can also offer advice on renting in the private sector in Brighton and Hove.

Entry requirements

Our standard A-level offers range from AAA–CCC, depending on the course (including foundation years). We also accept a range of non-A-level qualifications from around the world. For a guide on comparable qualifications, please visit our admissions pages.
