University of the Ryukyus

Located in the Japanese town of Nishihara, the University of the Ryukyus was established in 1950. Today, the university is home to around 8,000 students, of which the vast majority are studying at undergraduate level. The university consists of six faculties: Education, Science, Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, and Law & Letters. Notably, the university is home to the Fukuyan Museum, which houses a collection of biological samples, traditional farming tools and geological samples. More information about the university can be found on the official website.
