A brand new £96m campus for engineering students
Last year, the University of Leeds announced a new £96m campus (US$127.8m) for engineering, physics, astronomy and computing students. Work began in spring 2017 and will be completed by autumn 2020.
The building, named after the British physicist, chemist, mathematician and Nobel Prize winner Sir William Henry Bragg, will seek to encourage interdisciplinary work, particularly in the fields of smart foods, medical technologies, telecommunications and sustainable magnetic materials.
The new 15,700m2 building will be open 24/7, have a secure 112-cycle cage and feature specialized teaching spaces and world-class labs.
