There are 18 undergraduate courses sitting within nine programs:

  • Product, Ceramic and Industrial Design
  • Spatial Practices


Entry requirement: One or a combination of the following accepted full Level 3 qualifications:

  • Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Level 3 or 4) and one A Level at grade C or above
  • Two A Levels at grade C or above (preferred subjects include Art, Art and Design or Design and Technology)
  • Merit, Pass, Pass (MPP) at BTEC Extended Diploma (preferred subjects include Art, Art and Design or Design and Technology)
  • Pass at UAL Extended Diploma
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma (preferred subjects include Art, Art and Design or Design and Technology)
  • Equivalent EU/international qualifications, such as International Baccalaureate Diploma
  • Three GCSE passes at grade 4 or above (grade A*–C).


Course entry is often also determined by assessment of your portfolio. A very high proportion of successful applicants complete a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. You may be invited to interview once your application has been reviewed.


Home/EU students undertaking an undergraduate degree for 2020/21 entry will pay £9,250 in tuition.

Tutition fees for undergraduate degree courses for international students is £22,920 per year ¬– for 2020/21 entry.


If you’re an international applicant, you can apply in three ways:

  • Through an overseas representative in your country
  • Through UCAS
  • Through a direct application, via the online application form found on your course page


Students with International fee status are charged different tuition fee amounts and have different funding options in comparison to students with Home/EU fee status.
