Satbayev University offers programs with in-depth specialization in all areas of study, compiled by the requirements of priority industries. Education process conducted on Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

As part of the Master's program at Satbayev University, students can choose an academic or industrial direction, go through a standard program or choose a training program individually. Close cooperation with foreign universities allows Satbayev University to offer employment abroad, it is possible due to Masters programs of "double diploma". The study process has 3 languages involved – Kazakh, Russian and English.

For those who see their future in the scientific sphere, Satbayev University provides doctoral programs for the training of Ph.D., who create new technologies for the high-tech industry. The University’s research infrastructure allows students to conduct high-quality original research and to become a specialist, that can compete on the international market. Ph.D. students have to do a foreign scientific internship and work with two supervisors - Kazakhstani and foreign ones. At present, 9 Dissertation Councils in 16 specialties are functioning and more than 90 doctoral dissertations were defended at Satbayev University.

From the very beginning of the study process, Masters and Ph.D. students are involved in cooperation with local and foreign companies. Satbayev University has a training center for the national company Kazatomprom and an Industrial Advisory Council in the oil and gas industry. Along with representatives of Satbayev University and the Colorado School of Mines, the Council includes representatives of Chevron, Eni, Shell, Tengizchevroil, Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, and KazMunaiGas.
