Based in the suburban city of Winter Park, Florida, Rollins College is a private liberal arts college with approximately 3,000 students. The college takes its name from an early benefactor, Chicago businessman Alonso Rollins. Rollins College offers about 30 undergraduate degrees as well as several postgraduate options.
The college campus is located on a picturesque 70-acre site, close to Park Avenue. Notable campus features include the Alfond Boathouse - used by the college’s waterski and sailing teams - and the Peace Monument which was erected in 1938. Vandals later stole part of the monument during the Second World War.
Academically, the college is split into three main areas of focus: a College of Arts and Sciences, a Graduate School of Business and the Hamilton Holt School, which covers subjects such as public health, international affairs and Jewish studies. All three schools also offer international study programs and the college has established connections with London, Sydney, Madrid and other global cities.
