You will choose between two undergraduate majors – Asia Pacific Studies (APS) and International Management (APM) – and study under the tutelage of highly experienced faculty from twenty-four countries/regions. Most courses are available in both English and Japanese, and thanks to APU’s flexible curriculum, you can broaden your knowledge by taking courses from both colleges, regardless of your major. In your first and second year as an English-basis student, you will study courses related to your major in English while also learning the Japanese language. Your aim will be to raise your proficiency enough to be able to take major-related courses in either language by your third and fourth year. The main focus of your studies at APU is not simply memorizing facts or passively listening to lectures. Rather, you will begin tackling complex problems our world is facing through discussions and interactive classes alongside students and faculty from a wide variety of cultural, socio-economic and religious backgrounds.
