Postgraduate education in nanjing medical university dates back to before liberation.In December 1942, the first session of graduate student was Weixian Zhao who was also a teaching assistant.In August 1943, the second session of graduate students were Peixin Wang, Yuying Wang.Up to now, there are 215 professors, 305 associate professors, 407 doctoral supervisors and 1616 master supervisors,8 doctorate disciplines (biology, basic medicine, clinical medicine, oral medicine, public health and preventive medicine, pharmacy, special medicine, nursing) and 54 sub doctorate disciplines,3 interdisciplinary doctorate disciplines (clinical medical engineering, medical humanities, health policy management), 12 disciplines and 67 sub disciplines for master's authorizationthe first level Master's degree in12 disciplines.The degree programs have covered seven disciplines, including medicine, science, engineering, management, law, education and literature.
