About
History
ESAN was founded on July 25, 1963 as part of an agreement between the governments of the United States and Peru. Its start-up and implementation was entrusted to the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, becoming the first graduate business school in the Spanish-speaking world in South America.
Transformed into a university since July 12, 2003 (Law No. 28021), it offers careers at the undergraduate level, as well as programs for executives in various formats, corporate programs and other academic and professional services.
With its almost 60 years, ESAN Graduate School of Business offers programs such as the Doctoral Program in Business Administration; the Master in Business Administration - MBA in Lima in all its modalities and in Regions in weekend modality; 13 Specialized Master's degrees divided into 8 master's degrees from the functional areas of the company and 5 from the main economic sectors; as well as its Executive Education programs, which include highly specialized one-year programs up to two-month immediate application programs, courses and short seminars; in addition, closed programs are offered for companies and the public sector. Finally, language programs such as ETS TOEIC official exams, Professional English program with international certification from EDUSOFT - ETS, in face-to-face and online mode. During 2020, due to the current situation in the world due to the Covid 19 pandemic, all programs are being delivered online.
Rankings
ESAN has been considered one of the best schools in Latin America.
Currently, the QS Global MBA Rankings 2020 prepared by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British company specialized in the international higher education market, placed ESAN as the No. 1 and TOP 3 among business schools in Latin America, in addition to obtaining the first put in return on investment; América Economía magazine classified our school as No. 1 in Peru and TOP 5 among the best schools in Latin America; Financial Times ranked ESAN as the No. 1 school in Peru and No. 7 in Latin America.
Accreditations
ESAN has also achieved international accreditations such as AACSB and AMBA; EFMD, NIBES, CLADEA, PIM, PRME and UNICON international memberships.
The best business schools in the world are usually accredited by prestigious institutions, which guarantee international standards in their academic programs and in the Institution itself. To obtain these accreditations, they must go through a rigorous evaluation process. This accreditation is delivered for a specified time that can be 5 years or more.

ESAN: top 3 in Latin America and number 1 in Peru in the 2020 QS MBA Ranking.
ESAN's MBA program ranked third in Latin America and was number one in Peru according to the prestigious QS Global MBA Rankings 2020. The Business School improved three places compared to last year and also stood out for being the institution with the best "Return on investment "at the Latin American level.
A program with global value: Of the 10 MBA programs in Latin America that are included in the 2020 Global MBA Rankings, ESAN ranked first in the region in the "Return on Investment" indicator.
According to QS research, the Business School obtained a score of 83.9 and far exceeded the regional average which was 44.3 and even the global average which was 50.8. Likewise, his score improved compared to 2019 where he obtained 62.1. "The average return on investment over 10 years is calculated to be $ 240,902, and it is estimated that, on average, ESAN's MBA has a payback period of 3.1 years (37 months), compared to the average time of 3.6 years (43 months) globally "said the report of the British company.
