Damascus University awards graduate (Master, Ph.D. Professional Training and Qualification) and undergraduate (Bachelor) degree programs. The period of study for the Bachelor degree ranges from 4 to 6 years, based on the need for each discipline of study.

In some faculties like wise Medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, the first year is mandatory preparatory year for undergraduate students  which aims at helping students get used to the expectations of medical programs.
