Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios - UNIMINUTO

UNIMINUTO is a private, non-profit, Catholic university in Colombia which is part of a broader organization called “Minute of God Organization”. Its innovative model offers affordable, high quality education seeking to improve living conditions of people in vulnerable situations as part of a wider concept of “Comprenhensive Development”. Inspired by the Gospel and the Father Rafael Garcia-Herreros´ philosophy, the main purpose of the Minute of God Organization, and so of UNIMINUTO, is providing the basic elements for a more human dignity state of Colombian people. Facing the challenge of access to education of remote areas, the University offers, nowadays, more than 100 academic programs at different levels, ranging from technical to post-graduate.

It has been successful in its mission to reach students in vulnerable situations and in remote areas thanks to the use of Information and Communication Technologies-ICTs in a financially sustainable way.

In only 25 years, UNIMINUTO has expanded to 75 physical campuses and it provides nationwide coverage through its distance programs. By mid -2018, 75 percent of UNIMINUTO’s students were outside Bogota. As a result of its effective “praxeological” education model integrated to virtual and distance learning programs, UNIMINUTO is now the largest University in Colombia.
