Applied Science Private University (ASU) is a leading Jordanian university. Established in 1989 with a motto "A University for all Arabs". It was the first Arab university to receive ISO 9001 certificate concentrating on creativity and innovation; and the first private university to be licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education in Jordan.
ASU has an outstanding record and prominent place among local and international educational institutions. It aims at supporting all the various sectors and different scientific areas by providing them with distinguished and high-quality competent graduates who can meet the labor market needs.
What distinguishes ASU most is that it had accreditations as well as local and global rankings. This would:
1. Assure that ASU applies the high standards for quality of education in all the offered academic programs

3. Facilitate the process of attracting outstanding faculty members

· ASU is the first university in Jordan and the Arab world to have a four-star in QS Stars University Ratings, namely employability, teaching, facilities, inclusiveness and internationalization.
· ASU is the first among Jordanian private universities to be certified by the international ABET accreditation for all its of engineering programs.
· The computer science program of the IT faculty was certified by the international ABET accreditation.
· ASU’s Faculty of Pharmacy is the first at a private university in Jordan and the Middle East to obtain the ACPE accreditation of the US.
· ASU’s Faculty of Business is one of the first faculties to obtain eligibility in the international accreditation AACSB.
· ASU’s Faculty of Nursing is the first of its kind in a private university in Jordan to obtain the eligibility of the US accreditation ACEN.
· ASU is the most innovative community impact research university in the Middle East in 2019.
· Local Quality Assurance Certificate at the university and faculty levels. ASU is the first private university in Jordan to obtain a certificate of quality assurance, (Golden Level). This is the highest certificate granted by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions.
