Diagnostics, indication and treatment planning feature prominently in the Master’s programme. You spend ever more time treating patients and on being able to underpin the treatment choices that you make. During the first and second years of the Master’s programme, you’ll be doing this in the ACTA building in Amsterdam. We adopt a multidisciplinary approach to diagnostics, indication and treatment planning. You will be working under the supervision of lecturers (who are also qualified dentists) and of staff from the clinical departments (Cariology, Endodontics, Periodontics, etc.). The clinical departments’ close involvement means that the students’ knowledge is constantly being challenged, particularly their knowledge of dentistry. Students are being constantly prompted to think critically and to ask themselves questions.
