About
In an effort to increase the role of higher education in Indonesia in the context of global competition so as to strengthen the nation's competitiveness, in 2001 based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia No. 169 / D / O / 2001 dated 30 August 2001, the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation Semarang established Dian Nuswantoro University (UDINUS) which is a combination of:
- College of Informatics and Computer Management (STMIK, SK MENDIKBUD No. 10 / D / O / 1994, dated March 3, 1994)
- College of Economics (STIE, SK Mendikbud No. 26 / D / O / 99, 22 February 1999)
- College of Foreign Language (STBA, Minister of National Education Decree No. 27 / D / O / 2000, dated March 15, 2000)
- College of Health (STKES, SK Mendiknas No.103 / D / O / 2000, dated 7 July 2000)
In the merger, STMIK became the Faculty of Computer Science, STIE became the Faculty of Economics, STBA became the Faculty of Languages and Letters, STKES became the Faculty of Health, and added a new faculty, namely the Faculty of Engineering. The merger of high schools and high schools under the auspices of the Dian Nuswantoro Foundation is also based on efforts to improve efficiency and institutional performance, so that it becomes a healthy organization (organization health) in managing education. Then in 2002, the Computer Informatics Engineering Master's Postgraduate Program was opened based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education No. 1322 / D / T / 2002, dated 5 July 2002. Until now, Dian Nuswantoro University has 5 Faculties with 18 Study Programs and Postgraduate Programs with 1 study program.
