Ural Federal University (UrFU) is home to students and faculty from all over the globe. We're located in Ekaterinburg - a modern and dynamic city in the heart of Russia.
Being one of top-10 Russian universities with almost 100-year history, we offer to our students the perfect combination of fundamental education and innovative approach to present-day challenges. We've built a strong international expertise teaching foreign students since the mid-twentieth century.
Today the vibrant community of UrFU consists of 35 000 students from 80 countries of the world and about 4 000 faculty. Students come from China, South Korea, Mexico, Vietnam, Egypt etc. They can choose from 400 Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Programs in natural sciences, engineering, IT, social sciences, humanities and economics taught in Russian and English. For students willing to spend a period of study at UrFU we offer winter and summer schools and exchange programs including those carried out together with Erasmus partners.
UrFU is a member and a Russian coordinator of BRICS Network University, a member of the Arctic University and SCO University.
Our graduates work all over the globe in such companies as Microsoft Research, Google, Coca Cola, Unilever; they teach and do research in MIT, Univerity of Pennsylvania etc.
