The State University of Malang is an important education institution in Indonesia and has been included in the top 50 universities in Indonesia based on Higher Degree Education Institution in Indonesia. Even more impressive, The State University of ranked 6 in the best universities in Indonesia by Webometrics in 2010.

The State University of Malang has eight faculties, one post-graduate program and offers a total of 107 study programmes. The university also offers many facilities for its students such as: laboratories, workshops, studios, and an Institute for Research.

With the various means of academic activities, the univeristy aims to offer its graduates resources that will balance their theoretical knowledge with practical essential skills and abstract concepts with concrete applied activities.
