Although there are no new faces at the very top of the ranking for politics & international studies this year, Princeton University deserve singling out for climbing five places to third. Only Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has made a bigger improvement in the top 20 this year.

Of course, it’s not all about the American universities and seven other countries are represented in the top 20 this year: the UK, France, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Japan and Germany. Of these, only the UK and Australia have more than one institution in the top 20.
