University of Education, Lahore was established on September 02, 2002 with the vision to produce dynamic leaders and practitioners in teaching, research and management having content excellence and pedagogical competence.

University is offering 09 Post Graduate degree programs at MS and PhD level which capable the students in different competencies and skills. These programs include:

MS Level Programs

1. MPhil Education

2. MPhil in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies

3. MPhil Urdu

4. MS Botany

5. MS Chemistry

6. MS Mathematics

7. MS Physics

8. MS Zoology

PhD Level Programs

1. PhD Education

The university has pledged that it will impart quality education to its students through highly qualified & skilled faculty and staff. University has 42% PhD faculty whereas the average number of PhD faculty at national level is 27%.

The impact of libraries in education system is out of question. In 2016, all the processes of the university were manual and time consuming. Since then, the university has focused special attention on automation and up gradation of its central library. In this regards, library portal, fully functional library OPAC and access to HEC databases like Web of Science are the major highlights.
