In the latest Research Excellent Framework (REF) 2014, UEA came 10th in the UK for the quality of its research output and 21st overall out of all mainstream British institutions. The results show that more than 82% of UEA research is classified as either ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’, confirming UEA’s position as a premier research institution making a substantial impact on the global challenges facing society. The University maintains this reputation by selecting the most able and dedicated staff and students from around the world, and challenging them to reach their full potential.
