Master’s degrees

The University of Copenhagen offers 54 master’s degree programmes taught in English. For students in these programmes no knowledge of Danish is required or necessary.

Classes are often a combination of lectures, research projects, smaller seminars where active student participation is expected to generate the most stimulating learning environments, and forums of experimentation and debate. The learning environment is friendly and relaxed with students and teachers debating and exchanging views.

The university prepares students for a wide range of jobs in the private and public sectors. Many degree programmes include elements of internships for credit or research projects, often in cooperation with private businesses.


Admission

Admission requirements are outlined under each individual programme. Prospective students are advised to pay attention to requirements such as which types of bachelor’s degrees that qualify, including requirements for specific courses. There may also be requirements for language tests, GPA minimum etc.

 

Deadlines and fees

For non-EU/EEA applicants, the application deadline for most programmes is 15 January. For EU/EEA applicants, the application deadline is 1 March.

Non-EU/EEA students are required to pay tuition fees. Fees are in the range of EUR 10,000-16,000 per academic year depending on the programme.
