The Catholic University of Cuenca, has seven areas of knowledge made up of 25 majors, in Cuenca, Azogues and Macas headquarters and extensions of Cañar and San Pablo de la Troncal; distributed as follows:

Academic Unit of Health and Wellbeing: It has 5 careers briefly described below: 

• Medicine (Cuenca and Azogues): It trains humanistic medical professionals, competent in the preservation of the health and life of the human being with a solid theoretical-scientific training. 
• Nursing (Cuenca, Azogues, Macas, La Troncal and Cañar): It trains competent professionals; with ethical, human and Christian principles that efficiently apply the Nursing Care Process, helping to satisfy the needs and solve real problems. 
• Biochemistry and Pharmacy (Cuenca): It trains competent Biochemical Pharmacists with Christian ethical values ​​in clinical biochemistry, pharmacy and food safety. 
• Clinical Psychology (Cuenca): It trains professionals with ethical-humanistic principles, which harmonizes the integral biopsychosocial state of the human being, consistent with changing social structures. 
• Dentistry (Cuenca and Azogues): It trains professionals, competent in the preservation of oral health, with a solid theoretical-scientific training and investigative skills. 

Academic Unit of Engineering, Industry and Construction: It has five careers briefly described below: 

• Architecture (Cuenca Azogues): It trains competent professionals in design, restoration and construction at all its scales, as well as the elements of its equipment, urban planning and land use planning. 
• Civil Engineering (Cuenca and Azogues): It trains competent professionals in civil infrastructure systems that meet the demands and solve structural, road, hydraulic and sanitation problems. 
• Electricity (Cuenca): Train competent professionals in power electrical systems that allow efficient use of electrical energy. 
• Industrial Engineering (Cuenca): Training industry professionals in the scientific, technical and humanistic field. 
• Environmental Engineering (Cuenca): It trains competent professionals in the protection, conservation and management of natural resources. 

Academic Unit of Social Sciences: It has 4 careers briefly described below 

• Law (Cuenca, Azogues and La Troncal): Training professionals in the legal system. 
• Economy (Cuenca): It trains competent professionals who promote the improvement of socioeconomic conditions in accordance with the demands of a social, supportive and globalized economy. 
• Social Work (Cuenca): It trains competent professionals in the practice of social intervention in situations of vulnerability. 
• Journalism (Cuenca): Causes the student to strengthen ethical values, as a human and professional being; with knowledge provided by the sciences of the current of humanism, to be responsible with the mission of an independent and free profession. 

Academic Unit of Administration: It has two careers briefly described below. 

• Business Administration (Cuenca, Azogues, Cañar, Troncal and Macas): Their training provides administrative knowledge for decision-making that provide solutions to existing business and social problems. 
• Accounting and Auditing (Cuenca, Azogues, Macas and La Troncal): Training professionals, in accounting and control systems that allow decision-making in senior management. 

Academic Unit of Information and Communication Technologies: It has 3 careers briefly described below. 

• Software Engineering (Cuenca): It trains competent professionals in the development of software solutions.  
• Information Systems Engineering (Azogues and Cañar): Training professionals, with mastery of information and communication systems and technologies. 
• Information Technology Engineering (Cuenca and La troncal): It trains professionals with solid knowledge of administration of the technological infrastructure of organizations. 

Academic Unit of Education: It has 4 careers briefly described below. 

• Interior Design (Cuenca): Training professionals in interior and exterior design, as well as construction of spaces for comfort and human habitat at all scales.  
• Initial Education (Cuenca, Cañar and Macas): It trains reflective, critical and creative professionals in initial education, oriented to the integral development of boys and girls. 
• Education (Azogues): It trains competent professionals, with a holistic, systemic and intercultural vision, which underpins the comprehensive training of teachers.  
• Pedagogy of Physical Activity and Sports (Azogues): It trains professionals capable of leading and activating training, educational processes, in a proactive way, that promote projects related to initial, basic and high school physical education. 

Academic Unit of Agricultural Sciences: It has 2 careers briefly described below. 

• Veterinary Medicine (Cuenca): It trains competent professionals, with solid scientific and technical knowledge, in order to achieve an efficient health and animal production system. 
• Agronomy (Cuenca, Macas and the Troncal): It trains professionals with knowledge, skills and abilities to efficiently manage Agroecosystems and productive chains. 

The referential undergraduate cost for international students at the Catholic University of Cuenca is the same as for national students. Taking as average cost in a race the amount of 19,371.20 (8-cycle race).
