- A National Quality Award Recipient - TKU is the first university in Taiwan to employ the system of Total Quality Management (TQM). In 2009, it was awarded the 19th National Quality Award.
- Enterprises’ Favorite Private University – Since 1997, TKU graduates have been voted “Enterprises Favorites” in a survey conducted by a well-received Taiwanese business mazagine "Cheers". In each of the eight essential qualities identified by the survey, TKU graduates ranked first out of all graduates from private universities in Taiwan.
- An International Safe School - In 2008, TKU was named by the WHO as an International Safe School. Subsequently, in 2012, it passed the WHO Safe School Re-evaluation. It is the first university in the world to be recognized as a safe school.
