Rafik Hariri University was established by its founder to promote his vision of providing affordable excellence in education to all, regardless of faith or political affiliation. Since then, this university has evolved into an institution of firsts and a hub for innovators. Celebrating its twentieth year as a top educational institution, we are proud of the significant impact RHU has made on the Lebanese society and beyond.

The university enjoys a superb location atop a seaside mountain overlooking the Mediterranean sea in Mechref in the heart of a prestigious gated community.

RHU is a university of firsts. The first to offer an engineering degree in mechatronics; the first to offer an MBA in oil and gas management; the first to offer a bachelor of science in engineering technology; and the first to offer a degree in health care information systems. What characterizes RHU is its ability to adapt its programs to the ever-changing needs of society and the market place. RHU students enjoy the flexibility to tailor their educational experience to their ambitions, as driven by our American-Style Liberal Arts educational philosophy.

The ABET accreditation for our engineering and computer science programs, and the ACBSP accreditation for our business majors have confirmed that we meet the rigorous international standards and the Accreditation from the Federation of Arab Engineers further facilitates jobs across the Arab world for our engineering graduates.

RHU’s excellence is grounded in the eminence of its students, and their leading position in numerous regional and international competitions. RHU has reaped over 13 regional and international awards in all majors during 2018-2019.
