Purchase College offers a unique education that combines programs in the liberal arts with conservatory programs in the arts in a way that emphasizes inquiry, mastery of skills, and creativity. The School of Liberal Arts and Science offers programs in humanities, natural and social sciences, and film and media studies. The School of the Arts houses the professional training programs in the conservatories of Music, Dance, Theatre Arts and Visual Arts. In addition, a new BS in Visual Arts is also offered by the school.
