Belgorod State University has a branch in Stary Oskol (in Belgorod region). The Quality System Management at Belgorod State National Research University is recognized by its partners from 35 countries using IQNet (USA, France, Belgium, Portugal, China, Germany, Austria, etc.) in designing, developing and carrying out educational activities in the spheres of high, higher, postgraduate and additional professional education, research and innovations.

In 2016, the University offers 16 Specialist's degree programs and 64 bachelor's degree programs. About 2200 students from 79 foreign countries are currently students of Belgorod State University. The University system of additional professional education allows annual admitting over 10,000 people to 283 programs of additional education.

Apart from having perfectly equipped classrooms and laboratories, the Unievrsity is happy to offer its students a wide range of extra-curricular facilities: a huge Svetlana Khorkina’s sports complex, The International Youth Health and Leisure centre with an equestrian sport school, the Botanical garden and a winter garden, the Youth Cultural Center with its 16 dancing groups and mucis bands, the Nexhegol Recreational Compex, etc. Besides, the University has its own church - Saint Gabriel’s Church.
