The International Doctoral School (IDS) at Lodz University of Technology offers science and technology doctoral programs that can be conducted at one of our faculties.
We welcome applications of university graduates holding a Master degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or technological discipline, who wish to work towards a PhD within the scope of the IDS.
The coordinator of the IDS and a scientific advisor of a student set up an individual program after recognizing interests and needs of the student admitted to the School. The program includes scientific courses, additional courses such as academic writing in English, scientific communication, and project management, and a language course (if needed).
The doctoral studies in IDS are planned for 4 years but the actual lengths may vary depending on the pace of progress in research.
Doctoral students of the IDS can be fellows supported by grants of the supervisor or students with outside funding. All are subject to the same recruitment procedures.
There is no tuition fee for EU participants.
No teaching duties.
Doctoral students enrolled in the IDS pursue their research in one of the following units:
