ENGINEERING ( B.TECH)

1. ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

The Electronics and Communications Department was established in the year 2003 and now runs one undergraduate, one postgraduate program (M. Tech in MCNT), Ph. D. program also one 3 years diploma program affiliated by WBSCTE. The programs offered by the department are the most sought after branch in Engineering by top WBJEE rank holders and other aspirants from across the country. All the programs are accredited by NAAC and the undergraduate program is accredited by National Board of Accreditation.

2. COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING 

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2003 and provides a comprehensive research environment complemented by excellence in teaching. The Department has a number of qualified teachers who encourage the students to get engaged in several extra-curricular and co-curricular activities for them to be successful engineers. 

3. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Dept. of Information Technology, at the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, was established in the year 2007. The department is renowned for its quality education, placement, discipline and conducive learning environment for the students. GNIT is proud of the success of our student alumni over years in industries like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Tally, HCL Technology, and many more.

4. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

The department of Electrical Engineering started its auspicious academic journey, under West Bengal University of Technology, presently, MAKAUT-West Bengal, in the year 2003. The department got NBA in 2009 and then again in 2014 for its excellent performance in the arena of technical education. The department has well-equipped Laboratories, qualified and experienced faculty members and technical Staff to educate and train the budding engineers.

5. APPLIED ELECTRONICS & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING

Established in the year 2003, the department emphasizes to create technical professionals who are keen to take engineering responsibilities with a vast knowledge of entire process, medical instrumentation and power plants – a specialization that has grown leaps and bounds in the recent years. The department is equipped with state of the art laboratories to impart technical skill to the students to make them proficient engineers. 

6. FOOD TECHNOLOGY

The Department of Food Technology has emerged as one of the premier educational institute in the field of Food Technology in West Bengal. Since its inception in 2006, the department has undergone continual improvement by organizing several EDP, Seminar, conference, workshop, and symposium. 

NON ENGINEERING COURSES

1. BACHELOR IN COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY

The Department of Computer Application is devoted to the study and research in applications of computer science at graduate and post-graduate levels. s. The program is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

2. BACHELOR IN HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT

Hospital management and administration is concerned with the organization, coordination, planning, staffing, evaluating and controlling of health services for the masses. The primary objective is to provide quality healthcare to people and that too in a cost-effective manner.
