Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private non-profit university with its main campus situated on the edge of the Bosphorus "At the heart of İstanbul" Turkey. Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private non-profit university with its main campus situated on the edge of the Bosphorus "At the heart of İstanbul" Turkey. Established in 1998, BAU expects to be the leading force regionally and nationally in the enhancement of knowledge and aims to "educate students who are committed to promoting respect for the rights of others, who are considerate and appreciative of human differences, and of the constructive expression of ideas". BAU is organized into 9 faculties: architecture, engineering, educational sciences, business management and social sciences, health, medicine, dentistry, law and communication; 3 schools: CEA accredited School of Foreign Languages, School of Applied Sciences and School of Health Services; 4 graduate schools: engineering and science, social sciences, educational sciences and health sciences. BAU's current area of research includes but is not limited to; computer networks and communications, general medicine, surgery, computer science applications, electrical and electronic engineering, and clinical neurology. BAU provides 96 undergraduate and 144 graduate programs to around 26000 undergraduate and graduate students with 643 faculty members. The number of international partner universities is more than 193 located in 36 different countries. BAU is also home to more than 4000 foreign students from around 100 different countries. Turkish Exporters Assembly awards "Turkey's Top 500 Services Exporters" annually and BAU is the first in the rankings of 2017, 2018 and 2019 in the education sector. As a member of "BAU Global Network" (https://bauglobal.com/), which is comprised of higher education institutions spread all over the world, BAU provides its students with a chance to receive education at different locations like Washington D.C., Berlin and Toronto.
