The University of Lincoln’s in-house English Language Centre offers Pre-sessional English and Academic Study Skills (PEASS) courses to help international students meet the minimum language requirements for their chosen academic course and to familiarise themselves with UK academic culture and study skills before starting a degree at Lincoln.

The University of Lincoln International Study Centre also runs university preparation courses for international students who do not otherwise meet the direct entry requirements for an undergraduate degree course. Students can apply for an International Foundation Year or International Year One course, depending on their English Language and academic level, for several of Lincoln’s undergraduate programmes. Upon successful completion, students can progress to degree level study. The ISC’s university preparation courses are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Lincoln.

Outside of academic studies, the International Student Association is part of the University of Lincoln Students’ Union and organises social events and activities throughout the year for international students, as well as campaigning on matters that affect them.

Career prospects for Lincoln undergraduates are strong, with 96% of Lincoln’s most recent graduates in work or further study six months after finishing their course and more than 80% working in graduate level roles (Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey 2016/17).
