The UMU is an all-inclusive state university offering 54 degrees in the areas of Fine Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Health Sciences, Sciences, Social Sciences and Law. In addition, the UMU offers around one hundred summer international courses in various areas of knowledge into the UNIMAR program. The UMU boasts international recognition while its quality is supported by important certifications. As examples, the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences is one of the few in Spain to be accredited by the European Association of Veterinary European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments (EAEVE); the Faculty of Education is one of its type in Europe to hold the ECA Certificate for Quality in Internationalization (2016); Computer Sciences, Biology and Veterinary Sciences have all received the national accreditation AUDIT. Elsewhere, our International Office holds the EFQM seal for Quality Management Systems. International students ranked the University of Murcia among the best universities in Europe in the Study Portal Survey with the “Outstanding International Student Satisfaction” award in 2016, having obtained a 9.5 mark, being the only Spanish university to have received this award. The University of Murcia is geared toward academic excellence and is a key player in the region with its 350 research groups, 4 research centers and institutes that cover teaching and innovation in all areas of knowledge.
