The University awards Bachelor’s degrees. Training and retraining programs are provided in 40 specialities for Bachelor training programs. More than 10 thousand undergraduate students study at the University. Training is provided by 89 Departments. Today, the academic potential of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute is demonstrated by 242 staff members with Doctor's degrees and 900 staff with PhD and associate professor degrees. The University consists of 5 educational-scientific institutes and 4 faculties: Institute of Power Engineering, Electronics and Electromechanics, Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport, Institute of Physical Engineering, Institute of Chemical Technology and Engineering and Institute of Economics, Management and International Business. Faculty of International Education, Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Technologies, Faculty of Computer Sciences and Software Engineering; Faculty of Computer and Information Technologies. National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” includes Chernivtsi Faculty, Military Institute of Tank Troops, Kharkiv Computer and Technology College, Poltava Polytechnic College, the Scientific Library containing over two million volumes, the Interdisciplinary Institute for Postgraduate Studies, the Scientific Research Department, the Center for Distance Education, two research institutes: Science-and-Engineering and Design Institute "Molniya Institut “Ionosfera"; the Center for New Information Technologies and Museum of NTU “KhPI” history.
