National Pedagogical Dragomanov University is one of the most prestigious universities of Kyiv, the venerable and well-known institution of higher education of European space and of the whole world, declaring the prestige of the pedagogical profession, the Teacher as a leader and educator of the future elite of the state. 9This year the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University celebrates its 180th anniversary. Such a long and deep history demonstrates respectable tradition of academic education and science of university. Nowadays the university consists of 20 institutions, 106 departments, with 36 thousand students studying and 1500 teachers working, including more than 250 doctors, professors. The university trains staff of more than 100 professions covering range of pedagogical skills as well as such needed in modern society specialties as ecology, social work, law, political science, economics, design, translation, tourism, management, sociology, psychology. Graduates of National Pedagogical Dragomanov University are working in more than 20 countries. National Pedagogical Dragomanov University has an extensive network of cooperation with leading universities and research institutions of United States of America, the Italian Republic, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Bulgaria, the People’s Republic of China, the Russia Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and other countries. Each year about 200 teachers and students of National Pedagogical Dragomanov University are trained in foreign partner universities. Currently, the university has about 500 students from 26 countries.
