Karaganda State Medical University

Karaganda State Medical University it is the leading medical university of Kazakhstan on training of qualified specialists for the healthcare system which has a high reputation in the field of educational, scientific and medical services.

There are 8 bachelors, 2 internships, 7 masters, 34 residencies and 4 PhD programs in the field of medicine, public health, biology, pharmacy and etc.

The high quality of education and research is provided by the high level of infrastructure: 4 campuses equipped with interactive equipment; scientific library with reading rooms and a hall of electronic library; research center and molecular genetic laboratory, 13 university laboratories, 6 dormitories, 52 clinical sites, multi-field medical center, students’ sport camps and recreation areas.

As part of the integration into European educational space in the context of Bologna process KSMU has signed the Great Charter of Universities.

In 2011, KSMU has joined to the Directory of Medical Schools "Avicenna". KSMU is the member of following associations: AMEE, ASME, ORPHEUS, UMAP and EUA.

During 65 years KSMU has successfully trained for more than 35 000 of highly qualified specialists who work in all regions of Kazakhstan and countries of near and far abroad.
