Established in 1961, European University Cyprus (EUC) is one of the leading institutions of higher education in Cyprus, providing undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees.

First established as Cyprus College, EUC was granted university status in 2007. The University is made up of five different schools

  • The School of Humanities, Social and Educational Sciences
  • The School of Sciences
  • The School of Business Administration
  • The School of Medicine
  • The School of Law

European University Cyprus is the first Greek university to be awarded the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) Label by the European Commission and is one of only 40 institutions in Europe with this distinction. EUC has a student enrolment of more than 6,000. European University Cyprus has a strong commitment to community service and environmental sustainability.

European University Cyprus has established a reputation for quality education with a sharp focus on the employability of its students, and has been recognized for its investment in high tech innovation and engagement with industry and society. Over the last decade, the university has fostered a culture of modernization that has resulted in levels of growth that have exceeded all expectations, upgrading the quality of tertiary education in Cyprus and defining a clear international orientation for the university and the country.

European University Cyprus has partnerships with universities around the globe. It participates in Erasmus+ program which allows students study at several universities around Europe.

Located in Nicosia, the largest city and the capital of Cyprus, the university is situated near the center of political, economic and cultural activity in the country. EUC has recently expanded and opened a new campus that can accommodate up to 7,000 students and consists of modern facilities, well-equipped laboratories, amphitheater lecture halls, student apartments and entertainment venues.

The ideal location of the University, which is in one of the greenest areas of the capital, ensures the beauty of the surrounding countryside, and ease of access to some of the capital’s major business, governmental and social resources. European University Cyprus offers a campus that is large enough to provide all the facilities every student needs, but still compact enough to retain a friendly atmosphere and a sense of community in which each individual is important.

The European University Cyprus campus consists of the South, the West, the East and the North block buildings, the Tower Building B and the Tower Building C, all equipped with facilities necessary to a modern higher educational institution.

The South block building houses the Library, PC-laboratories, the Executive Training Center, Multimedia Lab, Classrooms and the Athletic Center.

 The West block building houses the School of Sciences, the School of Arts and Education Sciences, the Gymnastic Center, the Office of Register, the Cafeteria, the Office of the Student Union, the Student Relationship Center, the Advising Center, the Office of Athletics.

The East block building houses the Rector’s and Vice Rector’s Offices, 5 auditorium-type classrooms, one student lounge, the Computer Engineering Lab, the Physics Lab and the Physiotherapy Center and several classrooms.

The North block building is the newest building of the campus. It houses the Office of Admissions, the Office of the Student Affairs, administration offices, auditorium-type classrooms, cutting-edge laboratories such as the Nursing labs, Psychology lab, Physiotherapy labs and Biology/Chemistry labs as well as the School of Medicine. The Cultural Centre, is an indoor amphitheater for 550 persons, while there is an outdoor amphitheater with a seating capacity of 800 persons. The North block also provides covered parking space for 260 cars.

The Tower Building B houses the Graphic Design studios on the 1st floor and the Language, Speech and Hearing Clinic on the 3rd Floor.

The Tower Building C houses the faculty offices of the School of Business Administration and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Student life is an important aspect of university education as it can offer a unique opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills. Campus life at European University Cyprus focuses on the intellectual, occupational, social and cultural growth and nurturing of students. One of the many responsibilities we have towards our students is that of creating an interesting and supportive environment that meets their wide range of interests and talents.

Students are encouraged to become involved with one or more clubs and student organizations. The University offers a variety of clubs and student Associations, 10 intercollegiate teams, sports, and student government. Extra curricular activities ranging from  Legal Rhetoric Speech Contest, Cultural Night, Meditation, BBQs, Parties, Excursions and Festivals, complement an active campus life and offer ample opportunity for fun and memories.

The European University Cyprus Career Center was established in 1989 and provides students and alumni with comprehensive career advice. The Office maintains links to a wide range of local and regional public- and private-sector enterprises and organizations, as well as offering a range of personal and career development services.
